Under Construction – To Do list

I first started designing and building this site in oktober 2008, and now i can finally say it is almost ready to use. In other words, i’ll start creating content while finetuning my template at the same time. Here’s what needs to be implemented in the future:

Make a to-do list

Search form in the left column
Advanced search form (page)
Search results page
Search options (ie. language, category)

Make video display template and insert player

About Redout page (short author bio)
Add About link to side menu
Make author names clickable, linking to about page #anchor

Add Google Analytics code

Finetune page display time (zie ook WHelp)
YSlow current score: 67 (before optimization: 53)
Expires code geeft error op Apache server

RSS Feeds how does it work?

I sure did kill that little fucker! His corpse was laying there on my desk when i took out my camera and shot a picture. I used a flash and the mosquito’s exo-skeleton came out all shiny! Allmost metallic. So i imagined a knight in shining armor sitting on him, lake a dragon slayer who’s just killed its prey.

The photograph is the original, i left it untouched (as you can see, for it is slightly out of focus). I painted the knight in using digital tools.

redOut – WTF?

“A redout occurs when the body experiences a sufficient negative g-force. Blood flows from the lower parts of the body to the head. It is an inverse effect of a brownout, where blood flows from the head to the lower parts of the body. Redouts are potentially dangerous and can cause retinal damage and hemorrhagic stroke.” -Wikipedia

Frustratie dus. Een frustratie die ik heb met sommige mensen, sommige meningen, sommige gebeurtenissen. Frustratie door een gebrek aan relativering misschien, of een gebrek aan kennis. Frustratie die het best geuit wordt. Dus ik kom ook maar eens een meninkje toevoegen aan de wereld.

Maar ondanks de foto hier rechts en het prachtige zwarte design van deze site ben ik heus niet alleen maar gefrustreerd. Dit is ook plek voor creativiteit. Je weet wel… uitingen die een podium nodig hebben. Niet alleen van mij, maar ook van creatieve vrienden.

Verder weet ik eigenlijk niet waarom ik dit doe. Dat merk ik wel als ik mee bezig ben. Er is trouwens ooit wetenschappelijk onderzoek gedaan naar redenen waarom mensen bloggen¹⁾…
